Learning English as a Second (or third, fourth, or fifth) Language
There are a number of programs throughout Indiana that offer Intensive English or English as a Second Language (ESL) programs. We invite you to explore some of these options below.

IUPUI Program for Intensive English
The Program for Intensive English (PIE) is an intensive English program on IUPUI’s campus. IUPUI also offers academic English training (ESL classes) in 7 levels for international students and residents of Indiana.

Ball State Intensive English Institute
The Ball State University Intensive English Institute (IEI) provides seven-week intensive English instruction for all levels of non-native speakers of English who have a secondary school (high school) degree.

USI Intensive English Program
Six levels of intensive English instruction focus on building language skills and cultural knowledge. All courses include classroom instruction, small and large group discussions, field trips and out-of-class work.
